One of the most highly influential and recognisable names from the English rock scene, Eddie & The Hot Rods have enjoyed a career that has now spanned four decades and continue to entertain audiences across the globe.Recognised as one of the founding fathers of the Punk era, they were simply interested in playing loud, fast, in your face Rock ‘n’ Roll. In 1976 the band went head to head with a little known Australian band called AC/DC to see who would sell out most consecutive nights at Londons famous Marquee, Eddie and the Hot Rods won that battle but it is fair to say AC/DC won the war! In 1977 the band released a track called ‘Do Anything You Wanna Do which spent the whole Summer in the charts reaching Number 9 selling 475,000 copies. The Hot Rods had 4 UK top forty hit singles and toured the world with The Ramones, Talking Heads and The Police plus inspiring bands such as Def Leppard and The Undertones.
